GTS Trading has had to take a back seat in the last few years, but the Restaurant still has paintings, batiks and small sculptures displayed and available for sale.

Our GTS Kololi Accommodation has a small art gallery, directly supporting local artists and crafts people - as well as providing links to the artists & their studios to all visiting members.

In recent years we have considered having educational items available at the GTS/GETS office so that educational resources can be available to visitors wishing to purchase items for school they sponsor not through GTS. This may happend but there are no current plans.

Halimatou, suffered serious illness during 2008, but continues to run her small fruit stall outside GTS with te help of her children, but she is not employed by GTS.

The foundation & UK registration of GETSUK, has taken the eductional function of our earlier charity work over completely and GTS has concentrated on the commercial business of providing self funding projects aimed at improving employment prospects for Gambians.

Running any business in the very competitive environment of a tourist resort is difficult, GTS has always employed more staff than actually necessary, but providing training positions and work experience placements is vitally important and the new GTS Kololi Members accommodation will continue that vital adult education function.
