Domestic mis-understanding leads to a ner disaster for Angela and Rosie

There are holiday nightmare stories and worse, but this is the biggest GTS glitch since some of our first members Tony and Louise, who joined GTS in early 1999, arrived just as Lamin Lodge burnt down.

Their boat trip from the lodge was severely disrupted and to cap it all against GTS advice they went out with a boy from their hotel to the stadium for a concert and had all their money stolen.

Unlike that, this incident was totally the fault of GTS but be sure GTS will make it up to them.

GTS members and generous sponsors of the Bakoteh school arrived in Gambia and were going to stay at GTS Kololi. After a number of emails prior to their trip we all thought that everything was in order.

Adam moved into a new compound earlier in the week, that had been passed on to him by a friend's unexpected return to England and told Kabs he was moving.

. .

Rosie and Angela, not served as well as GTS would wish, we will make it up to them

Kabs had not realised that that woul mean that adam was taking his cooker and fridge, as well as the other things he had bought for the compound.

The place looked as if robbers had been in.

In addition to that, the water pressure has been the worse known ever at present leaving the compound with no water for hours each day.

The compound is lovely, safe and secure and very close to GTS and Senegambia, GTS is putting in a storage tank to provide water enough for washing showering and cooking and of course will replace all the items missing since Adam moved.

And Angie and Rosie - well GTS found then alternative accommodation, so not a total disaster but not something that we would want to repeat.
