A friend very kindly passed on your website address which I have to say is fantastic what a great idea and one that is much needed in The Gambia - well done :o)

One other reason I'm writing is to say that on your next trip out there, please try to visit Geri Mitchell and Maurice, good friends of mine. They run a lovely little independent hotel called Safari Garden in Fajara (just off Pipeline Road on the left, heading towards Leybato Beach - the road just opposite Weezo's I think).

I really think that you will find it of great interest to meet them as they have very much the same ideas as yourselves about Eco-tourism in The Gambia. Their hotel is also a great place to stay and pretty reasonable too, with a lovely little pool ("small but one of the cleanest in Gambia" as Alajhi, their very proud pool man will testify :o) + a great restaurant.

I feel sure that you will connect with them. Mind you, Gambia being what it is, I wouldn't be surprised if you'd met them already!
