The stadium is probably the largest area constructed for a single purpose. It is used by schools for sports and for a vary wide and varied programme of activities, concerts and festivals open top the public.

It was built by the Chinese for the Gambian people. They also constructed a hostel/lodge close by to provide reasonable and simple accomodation

The atmosphere at any of the programmes is terrific and well worth a visit with a Gambian host. Check the dates and times of any activities that are going on during your stay.

You will need transport to get there, it is a little bit stuck in the middle of nowhere.
