The French Alliance complex on Pipeline Road (Kairaba Avenue) is well worth a quick visit on your first trip round the local area and certainly early in your holiday so you can find out what is happening over the next week or so.

It fulfills a number of purposes

It is an exhibition centre and often has an interesting exhibition of some sort taking place

It has posters and leaflets about many other events that are taking place, especially at the National Stadium just down the road.

It has a small cinema, mainly showing French language films, but often English with French sub-titles.

It has clean toilets.

It is really is a pity to miss a big music event or local concert if one is on, just because you don't know it is happening.
