The Keneba is an enclose compound looking like a small African Village with round huts with a main bar and restaurant, a round structure of wood and grasses.
The gardens are lovely and the accomodation is excellent, each with its own bathroom and lavatory and two rooms. The rooms are 200D for a couple including breakfast. For a single person the charge is 175D with breakfast 165D without.
When the hotel has a full compliment of guests they always have a buffet meal at 50D per person
The Keneba offers GTS members a 20% discount.
May 2006 The new owner of the Keneba called me from Spain to say the lodge had been totally refurbished and he invited a GTS representative to go and see it and update this page - I have contacted GTS and we will shortly report back
PLEASE check before
booking here, we have had reports from members that during March 2001
the owner was away and the place had builders in . . . it was in such
a sorry state they went elsewhere.
