The Mandinkas' Bunkoyo means White House in Mandinka and this it just that, a neatly whitewashed, blue-roofed mansion.

An English family house built in the late 1980s it was bought by a Dutchman in 1997. The interior is still more a home than hotel.

There are 9 very presentable double rooms, I single and 1 suite, all have a shower and a fan or air con.

There are bookcases on the landing, leather sofas, a piano, bar & breakfast tables. The roof-terrace is large but the pool is rather small and there is no restaurant at all.

Bed & breakfast is 500 dalasis for a double and 350 for a single.
