There have been a number of television programmes about slavery, past and present, but maybe the most striking item I have yet seen is the Modern Slavery feature in the September National Geographic Magazine.

The linked pages provide excellent additional information, sound files and video and the other links give access to a previous National Geographic article on the discovery of a 1700's British slaving ship the 'Henriette Marie' which sank 35 miles west of Key West in Florida.

This in turn provides a link to a site at Long Island University and an excellent Study on African Americans from Slavery to Freedom

I can recommend anyone to follow these links to provide a broad insight into the subject of Slavery both in history and about today's Slavery issues.
