Scout Expedition to Gambia
So far 37 scouts and 10 scout leaders are bound for Gambia in August 2001 for a 3 week expedition in the Central and Upper river divisions of the Gambia

The main event takes place over 21 days from Friday August 10th in The Gambia consisting of:
Five days acclimatisation, preparation and training undertaken by the Gambian Scout Leaders at Little Trees Scout Centre two miles from Kotu Beach.
Ten days expedition in Central and Upper Gambia. Rest and recuperation (free time), one of these days will be taken up as an assessment day. This will all take place at the Friendship Hotel near the stadium in Bakau.
A return visit of Gambian scouts is planned and badges like the one displayed above are for sale at £2.00 to help raise money to help fund the returning scouts visit.
