If you feel you would like to help with the work done by the Clarkes, you can contact them by phone fax or email.

We met Howard using the phone at the GTS Telecentre. We found out lots about him and Christine and their Gambian registered charity, but got the distinct impression that they left knowing nothing much about us or GTS, although while clearing their offices at Kanifeng they passed on some tapes and instructions on Batik making that might well come in useful.

This is GAMBIAN registered Charity No. A28-NGO

Since being taken over by Howard and Christine, their emphasis appears to be on raising money through sponsoships of children through their education.

Each sponsor is contacted regularly with a report, pictures and letters, creating a link and the much needed bond that sees sponsors continuing their support over a number of years.

Costs of sponsorship with School for Progress are as follows:

We have removed the charges made by each charity as there are large differences and undoubtedly differences in the service provided. The charges change year to year. Charities should not be in competition to gather sponsors - If you are intersted in sponsoring a child through SFP please use the contact numbers above:

Other donations to the charity are used to support a number of school projects, improving and renovating schools in the mainly urban areas.
