Flights leave late night 10.00 pm excellent after work and arrive around 6 hours later, flights home leave at around 3pm so arrive in the UK at a reasonablee time for trains or traffic home.
Adam and I booked through a charming lady called Tony, who also helped Dave sort out the arrangements for his dog to fly out to Banjul.

Cheap flights can turn into an expensive option. Despite promises, Redair have to my knowledge made no refunds to passengers, myself included - the Gambian owned organisation does not even communicate.
Sierra National Airways are still operating but practise over booking and leave ticket holding passengers stranded.
The new service from Redair is reported to me as being the most pleasant of the flight options between London Gatwick and Banjul.
Especially for longer stays RedAir is very competetive.
RedAir also offers a booking service from The Gambia to the UK.
At present you need to pay by cheque or directly at any National Westminster Bank. Full details are given at the time of booking.
The RedAir tickets say the luggage allowance is 30 Kilos + 6 for hand luggage, but at present they are offering 40 Kilos, 20 more than most of the other airline operators, a bonus for GTS members taking charity supplies out to Gambia.
The RedAir service aboard their DC10-30 is excellent, I will try it for myself on 1st November and let you know.
