Have you visited Gambia from the UK during the last 24 months?
if so you will probably get a questionaire through the post from the company that arranged your flight or holiday.

Please fill this in and send it back in the reply paid envelope.

This survey is really important . . . .

The increase in malaria cases in early 2001 got wide media attention and brought to light that many visitors either

  • take no anti-malarial tablets or
  • do not take the full course or
  • even take tablets that do not protect against the strains of malaria present in Gambia.

The research will take time to complete even after the forms are collected.

Our web pages contain a lot of helpful information

PLEASE take malaria seriously
AND see your doctor for advice before leaving for your holiday

If you do not receive a questionaire, especially if you suffered malaria on your return, please contact:

Maggie Armstrong (Research Assistant) on 0207 387 9300 ext 5985
