nearly 2.5 hours late Banjul to gatwick via Freetown in Sierra Leone.

First we went to London to see Adam and Owen and to pick up parcels for Kabs of clothes to keep him warm in Scotland. We arrived in Basingstoke where kabs made the best Chicken Domada i have ever had and it was simplicty itself to make.

We set off for the Dallimore family in Swansea, who had invited Kabs in the first place. I was delighted to meet them again. All the family has been involved in raising funds for the Bakoteh school project and in two money raising effort a sponsored bike ride and a car boot sale have raised over £700.

The family will host Kabs for the next two weeks and as well as the fun side of the visit, Delyth who is currently in the final year iof a degree course is hoping to start the foundations for a Mandinka language course, with the help of Kabs and technical assistance of Alun a work friend of Dai's who will help turn the files into a format for use by members over the website and into a saleable package.

On Sunday we went out for a meal with the family to the Gower coast.

Delyth and Dai joined GTS in 2002 and met up with Kabs last Christmas at the GTS restaurant in Kololi. Gambia being only 6 hours flight away, provides a glimpse of Africa and people either love it and help or hate it and never return.

Like us, Delyth and Dai love it and have worked on helping GTS as soon as they returned home. First with a bike ride that the whole family took part in and got sponsored and then more recently and very much with Amy, (their daughter) and Joules - (Amy's fiancee) running the thing - they had a very successful car boot sale to raise nearly £150.

After a most enjoyable 24 hours in Swansea - I set off for home, my head buzzing with ideas from the Dallimore's and from Alun Evans their friend.

Kabs will spend 2 weeks in swansea before heading north to Dumbarton where he will be the guest of Fr Kenny and the Dumbarton congregation.
Linda Kerr, who works with Kenny and knows Kabs from visits to gambia will be his main host.
