Sulayman Cham, was introduce to Kabs by the Vice Headmistress of Bakoteh Annex lower basic school.

According to the Headmistress, Sulayman was very polite, respectful, and very hard working boy. He came out with flying colours of his exams to go to the Upper basis school.

During the time he was at her school, and because of the lack of help and his good performance, motivated her to take him to the Upper Basic School to apply to the authorities to accept him and she will do all her best for him to get help.

GTS took the first volunteer teacher to the school called Helen. Kabs went with Helen to the school and explain all about what GTS is doing in The Gambia, that was the time the Headmistress told Kabs about Sulayman and Kabs took his details and finally thanks to the Angela Sarr who helps and find a sponsor for him.

His father name is Kebba Cham; his mother's name is Amie Jassey.

He is 15 years old and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. They all live in Bundung. The Eastern part of Serekunda.

His father is jobless, and the Mum was fruit seller but have an accident two years back. She has a broken leg and cannot sell anymore. She used to bring the food home and help the family. She is now sitting down and the family find it difficult to have food and to pay for his school fees.

Last year Kabs, Fran, Angela Sarr went to visit his home.
