Sylvia met Isatou Touray on the beach and traced her through GTS, who met the family and visited the school in order to set the sponsorship up.

The boy's father is a tailor, but is now too old to work so he cannot help with the school fees anymore.

The mother Iasatou, has 3 boys and 2 girls at school at the moment and only earns enough to pay for food. According to the boy's mother, the people who want to sponsor the boy met her on the beach while she was working as a fruit seller during their holiday in the Gambia.

According to Mam Seck's teacher, he is studying English Language, Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Social and Environmental Studies and Physical Education.

His attendance is good, punctual and regular and he has a good appearance.

The Headmaster believes that with good sponsorship he should acheive University education.
