GTS member & supporter Helen Touray, recently returned from her latest visit to Gambia and The Bakoteh Community Library set up within the school that Helen spent time as a volunteer assistant.
The Library opened in February, and although it has security grills at the windows there are still no glazed windows and these are needed before the rainy season arrives.
Helen left a personal donation of £95 and the company she works for donated another £100 to help complete the windows to stop rain water blowing into the building, during the summer months.
The library still needs MANY MANY suitable books, so please if you are going to Gambia whether you are a GTS or GES member PLEASE take some books for the Library.
The books can be left at the GTS office which is situated at The GTS Charity Bar & Restaurant as shown below.
