Before my visit to Gambia in late May, I had a short email from Foday saying he was travelling to Europe to play music at a friends wedding and then further his study of music - which is his real dream.

GTS has come a long way with Foday's support and contacts. His realisation of the role of GTS as an Eco Tourist venture, providing support to fellow Gambians through employment and to children via education, helped him devote his time so profitably to GTS work.

It is definitely time now for Fo to devote himself to his real love MUSIC and we hope he gets as much out of that as he has from GTS, which despite taking up most of his time for two years, has provide him with enormous opportunities, from which he is now benefitting

Foday's work role has been filled by Kabirou Jabang, who has been working as our office manager at GTS since Fo's departure - he now has the full running of GTS Member Services, a role that he has expanded to match his talents and very much make his own.

Kabs has already started building GTS from the foundations laid by Foday. He hopes to dramatically increase the charity revenue income in Gambia over the next year through providing more membership services, so that GTS can build its own school in a nearby village and increase GTS jobs to similar numbers of that of the GTS Bar & Restaurant, which employed 12 staff during the 2002 season and now employ nearly 20 staff ( March 2003 ).

Foday's links with us will continue - but he now has the the capital to build his own project and has purchased land to build some form of music base for performers and students.

Fo has many talents as an artist, he is a natural actor, a convincing performer and great story teller, infact an all round entertainer with the skill of lifting peoples spirits. Now he hopes to devote his time to improving his all round musical ability, which he has neglected for so long. I had great hopes for Fo, now I hope he achieves his own dreams.
