Since GTS started in April 2000 two of our members have started their own charity helping to provide a school in Essau on the north bank of the Gambia river.
On trips to Banjul we can include a trip to the Rev. Jacksons excellent school so you can see the work he is doing.

The letter from Karen and Martin was printed at the end of May 2001 in the Shropshire Star, just a local paper, but helping us get more visitors to the site.
Some visitors become members, so we can help them have a better holiday and at the same time provide charity money to help our drive for more education and secure jobs for local people.
