If you visit the Palma Rima Hotel area you will find The Julas Bar about 150 metres along the beach to the right of Solomons. It is built high up on the beach and has an area of sunshades in front of its open seating area and sun loungers FREE to all users of the bar.

Part of its attraction is that it is a little off the tourist beach, so it is excellent for sunbathing and bird watching, without the normal crowds of holiday makers.

If the sun gets too hot it has a pleasant inside room, where the bar is situated. The Julas has a number of staff to look after you, identified by their Id badges sporting not only their pictures BUT a background of the Julas bar itself.

As well as providing drinks and excellent meals, the Julas has two additional features. A boat is available for fishing trips out into the sea - fish caught will be cooked by the staff for half the normal price of the meal. Above the bar is a large balcony with an uninterrupted view over the dunes providing an excellent bird watching platform.

Henry, the owner is more than happy for it to be used for this purpose.

Every Sunday evening there is a buffet supper, 150D for each couple, during which there are African dancers, drums and music.

During 'Happy Hour' the beer is only 8D instead of 10D
