It was only this December (2003) that a visitor mentioned that our web pages for our own GTS restaurant were really hard to find, so I created a home page link specifically to our restaurant pages, the links on the left chart the history of the restaurant in words and pictures.

Since Sept 2002, the GTS Restaurant has been open from early morning to late at night and is now set for a new year and new 2007 tourist season.

We are very easy to find along the same road as the Tafbel hotel, Aquarius Club and Scala restaurant, just opposite the sign for the Golf course at the Kololi Beach Club. We are the last restaurant on your way to the Bijilo Forest Park and the first one on your way back.

The GTS restaurant is so different because of the atmosphere, and the principles behind its creation, but first and foremost we serve great food at very reasonable prices. We are delighted to say that our customers visit us many times during their stay and we hope that will continue and that you will join them when on holiday in Gambia.

Our menu is full of choices at very low prices and our special dishes are designed to bring you the best of Gambian ingredients, cooked in the most delicious ways but still at incredibly affordable prices.

We serve tea and coffee all day as well as an extensive range of cooled drinks.

GTS has been developing sustainable employment for several years, so we were delighted that the restaurant has not only survived two rainy seasons but came through them with many of our original staff. (Sadly we had to close at the end of 2005 and 2006 seasons because of losses sustained because of our position behind Dardeema and staffing problems.

The end of 2006 and start of 2007 heralds our 10th year of operating in Gambia, the Bar and Restaurant has never looked better and we hope to have our best ever year - if so the GTS bar and restaurant will once again be one of the few establishments to stay open all year round.
