GTS
Restaurant After a busy weekend discussing GTS developments during 2003 with foday in London, near disaster strikes. With record numbes of new members and greatly increased traffic on the site it is a great relief that the Restaurant will only b closed for days Comments please |
Only days since Adam arrived in Gambia to start his second 9 months and disaster struck during the night of Septemper 10th and 11th. Some how the wind got under the roof and lifted the metal sheets, snaping the roofing timbers, which fell through to the restaurant. Of course wind like this in Gambia is associated with torrential rain, which brought down more ceiling and destroyed our computer, paper records and has caused chaos inside the restaurant and office. But Gambians are resourceful and/or just plain used to this sort of 'disaster', I feared the restaurant would be closed for weeks, that we'd have no income to pay the staff, but tonight Adam assues me all is in hand and the roof is being repaired in the rains which returned this afternoon. The GTS restaurant should be open again by Friday morning. 5 Top
