This tall town house is on the main drive into town it was totally renovated in 1980 and has been upgraded recently to give the Carlton the edge on its rival hotel a few metres nearer Arch 22.

A garden bar, but no alchol in this hotel which has many local Gambian dignitaries and ministers staying is much nicer than the groundfloor reception room and restaurant.

There are 40 double rooms, all with showers. Some have air con, check yours and there is no lift so don't go for a room on the 4th floor.

Bed & breakfast is 200-350 dalasis for a double, 165-300 for a single, this is an excellent cheaper alternative to the Atlantic at around 1/5 the price.
