Following a request from a UK citizen living in Portugal with a Portugese wife, I discover that his wife does need a visa - BUT there is no Gambian High Commission in Portugal.

In such circumstances there are visa application facilities at Banjul airport and I am assured by the Gambian High Commission in London that there will be no problems.
